How to Connect Google Search Console
Connect Google Search Console to ACS via OAuth to automatically pull weekly SEO performance data for your articles.
Updated April 8, 2026
Connecting Google Search Console (GSC) to ACS delivers automatic weekly SEO performance data for your published articles — no manual exports or copy-paste required.
What You'll Get
- Weekly pulls of impressions, clicks, CTR, and average ranking position per article
- Top search queries and landing page performance data from Google's index
- Unified SEO metrics alongside your other channel analytics in ACS
Prerequisites
- A verified Google Search Console property for your website
- A Google account with Owner or Full User access to that GSC property
- ACS with SEO articles configured as a publishing channel
Connecting Google Search Console
Step 1: Open Integrations
Go to Settings → Integrations. In the Analytics Sources section, find the Google Search Console card.
Step 2: Click Connect
Click Connect on the GSC card.
Step 3: Authorize via Google OAuth
Select Connect via Google OAuth. You will be redirected to Google's authorization screen. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your GSC property, then grant ACS permission to read your Search Console data. Click Allow to return to ACS.
Step 4: Select Your Property
After authorization, ACS will prompt you to select the GSC property (website) you want to pull data from. Choose your site from the dropdown and confirm.
Step 5: Confirm the Connection
The GSC card will show Connected with your property URL. Analytics will begin pulling on your next weekly campaign cycle.
Data Timing
Google Search Console data reflects a 2–3 day delay. The most recent days may not appear immediately after a weekly pull — this is a Google-side limitation, not specific to ACS.
Inbound Webhook Alternative
If you prefer not to use OAuth, GSC data can be pushed to ACS via an inbound analytics webhook instead. See Setting Up Inbound Analytics Webhooks for details.
Disconnecting Google Search Console
From ACS: Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Search Console → Disconnect.
From Google: Go to Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access and revoke Adaptive Content System.
Troubleshooting
No properties found after authorization Verify the Google account you authorized has Owner or Full User access to the GSC property. Restricted user roles do not expose the data ACS requires.
No data after connecting Data pulls begin on the next weekly cycle. If data is still missing after a full week, disconnect and reconnect, then select your property again during setup.
Wrong property selected Disconnect and reconnect. You will be prompted to select a property again during the setup flow.
