How to Connect Kit (formerly ConvertKit)

ACS integrates with Kit using your API credentials to publish email newsletters directly to your audience and sync engagement analytics back into your dashboards.

What You'll Get

Prerequisites

• A Kit account (Creator or Creator Pro plan for full API access)
• Your Kit API Key and API Secret

Step 1: Get Your Kit API Credentials

1. Log into Kit and go to Settings → Advanced → API
2. Your API Key and API Secret are listed on this page — these are two separate values
3. Copy both

Step 2: Connect in ACS

1. In ACS, go to Settings → Integrations
2. Under Publishing Destinations, click Set Up for your Newsletter channel
3. Select Kit from the provider list
4. Enter your API Key and API Secret
5. Click Connect

ACS will verify the credentials and begin a historical analytics backfill.

Analytics Backfill

On first connection, ACS retrieves your historical broadcast performance data from Kit. This runs automatically in the background and populates your ACS Analytics dashboard within a few minutes.

Publishing Behavior

ACS creates a new broadcast in Kit and sends it to your default subscriber segment. Publishing behavior (draft vs. send, subscriber tags or segments) can be configured in Settings → Platforms → Newsletter.

Disconnecting Kit

Go to Settings → Integrations → Newsletter → Edit and remove your Kit credentials.

Troubleshooting

"Authentication failed" Ensure you have entered both the API Key and API Secret. These are two distinct values — the API Key alone is not sufficient for authentication.

Emails not delivering Check that your Kit account is in good standing and your subscriber list is active. Some plan restrictions may affect broadcast sending via the API.

Analytics not appearing Confirm the connection is active and allow up to one full weekly cycle for data to populate.
