How to Connect LinkedIn
Step-by-step guide to connecting your LinkedIn account to ACS via OAuth for automated content publishing and analytics tracking.
Updated April 8, 2026
Connecting LinkedIn to ACS enables fully automated content publishing and weekly analytics syncing. ACS uses LinkedIn's official OAuth flow — your password is never stored, and you can revoke access at any time.
What You'll Get
- Automated publishing of posts directly to your LinkedIn profile or company page
- Weekly engagement analytics pulled automatically: impressions, clicks, reactions, comments, and shares
- Performance data fed into your ACS Analytics dashboard for cross-channel comparison
Prerequisites
- An active LinkedIn account
- An ACS subscription with LinkedIn enabled as a publishing channel
Connecting LinkedIn
Step 1: Open Integrations
Go to Settings → Integrations in ACS. Under the Connected Accounts section, find the LinkedIn card.
Step 2: Click Connect
Click the Connect button on the LinkedIn card to open the connection modal.
Step 3: Authorize via OAuth
Select Connect with LinkedIn (OAuth). You'll be redirected to LinkedIn's authorization page. Sign in if prompted, then review the permissions ACS requests:
- Post content on your behalf
- Access your engagement and analytics data
Click Allow to authorize and return to ACS.
Step 4: Confirm the Connection
The LinkedIn card will display Connected with your profile name. ACS is now authorized to publish and pull analytics on your behalf.
Permissions Scope
ACS requests only the permissions necessary to publish content and retrieve analytics. We do not access your messages, connection list, or any data beyond what is required to operate the Service.
Publishing Behavior
Once connected, ACS publishes LinkedIn posts as part of your weekly campaign cycle. Configure publishing behavior under Settings → Platforms → LinkedIn:
- Posts per week
- Preferred publishing days
- Post types (text post, article)
- Whether approval is required before each post goes live
Disconnecting LinkedIn
From ACS: Go to Settings → Integrations → LinkedIn → Disconnect.
From LinkedIn: Navigate to LinkedIn Settings → Data Privacy → Third-party apps and remove Adaptive Content System.
Either method immediately stops ACS from publishing or retrieving data on your behalf.
Troubleshooting
Authorization failed Ensure you are logged into the correct LinkedIn account before connecting. Clear your browser cache if the OAuth redirect behaves unexpectedly.
Posts not publishing Confirm LinkedIn is enabled in Settings → Platforms with at least one active post type and a posts-per-week value greater than zero.
Analytics not updating LinkedIn analytics are pulled weekly as part of your campaign cycle. If data is missing after a full week, verify the connection is still active under Settings → Integrations.
